Theory: We spend all of our childhood wishing time would go quicker so we would grow older. Then all of a sudden we are older and time is flying by, so we wish it to slow down. But the Universe is like “You just asked me to speed up for like 10 years” so it ignores us and just keeps going faster. Thats probably how it works.
